The World We Choose for Children to Grow

The artwork shows a boy holding his heart while surrounded by scenes of family meals, school, exercise, healthcare, art, nature, and community life. A polluted factory contrasts with a healthy green environment. The red thread connects every scene, symbolizing the social, economic, environmental, commercial, and policy factors that shape a childs health. Through the question, Who determines our health the artwork reminds us that childrens futures depend on the world adults create. We must choose a safer, fairer, and healthier world for every child.
