Who Chooses This Dish

This artwork explores the question, Who determines our health through a conveyor-belt restaurant. The conveyor belt represents society and the environment that bring different choices into our lives, including healthy, unhealthy, expensive, and affordable food. The hands choosing food represent human rights and personal decisions, while the food and objects reflect factors that influence our choices, such as income, price, time, knowledge, family, media, and values. Physical health, mental health, and exercise symbols show that health is shaped by many factors, not just food.
