Dr. Jihad Makhoul is Professor of Public Health and chairperson of the Department of Health Promotion and Community Health at the American University of Beirut. Her research focuses on research ethics, academic integrity, and the commercial determinants of health. She has extensive experience in community-engaged research, qualitative research and public health across the Arab region, and is a member of several international public health networks and scientific advisory committees in her areas of interest.
